June 22, 1941 – the beginning of the Great Patriotic War became one of the saddest dates in the history of Belarus. In our time, this is a day of remembrance for all those who died, both at the fronts and during punitive actions, tortured in fascist captivity, who died in the rear from hunger and deprivation.
On June 22, 2023, employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents – Deputy Director for Ideological Work E.M.Grinevich, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the Archive A.K.Kot, Chairman of the Primary Regional Public Organization «Belaya Rus» M.A.Shmaliy, Head of the Sector for Digitization of Film and Photo Documents of the Department digitization of documents N.V.Trukhanovich took part in a solemn event dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people. The participants of the event laid flowers at a military burial in a forest near the village of Yaroshovka, Dzerzhinsky village council.
