Open Day at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On June 9, 2023, as part of the events dedicated to the International Day of Archives, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus opened its doors to everyone who wants to get acquainted with its activities.
On this day, the archive held a number of events.
An excursion was organized, during which the researcher of the publication department T.N.Ageenko spoke about its history, work in the field of publication and exhibition activities.
The National Archives was visited by employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art and the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation.
Director of the National Archives A.K.Demyanuk delivered a welcoming speech to his colleagues.
As part of the meeting, the head of the department of funds of personal origin, I.V.Dorogush, spoke about the acquisition of the archive with documents of personal origin, acquainted the employees of state archives with the scientific reference apparatus, the conditions for storing documents, held a master class on accounting and designing museum objects in funds of personal origin.
A tour of the archive was organized for the guests, including a visit to the reading room and archives. During the tour, employees of the state archives got acquainted with the photo-documentary exhibitions of the archive.
At the end of the event, the presentation of the book «Essays on the history of the diplomatic service in Belarus. fate and events. 1919-1930s.»
