Participation of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents in the work of the 33rd International Specialized Exhibition «Belagro-2023»
Participation in the international specialized exhibition «Belagro» has become a good tradition for the establishment of the «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» (hereinafter – BGAKFFD) and an excellent way to attract new users and popularize stock documents. 2023 is no exception, and now the archive plans to participate in the exhibition throughout its entire period from 6 to 11 June. As in previous years, the archive exposition is placed together with the exhibition of the Belarusian Agricultural Library named after I.S.Lupinovich.
The Belagro exhibition is the largest platform where domestic and foreign enterprises, as well as institutions, can demonstrate their achievements in various fields directly related to agriculture or processing agricultural products – these are food industry enterprises, agricultural engineering, production institutions related to biotechnology , selection, agricultural construction and design, specialized institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, farms.
The BGAKFFD exposition is represented by audiovisual media – 35 and 16 mm film, photo negatives, including those on glass, photographic film on slides, magnetic tape and gramophone records. Another section of the exhibition is devoted to Soviet photographic and film equipment. Printed products presented at the exposition show visitors a wide geography of book, magazine, album and reference publications, including BGAKFFD documents.
The archive also presented photographic documents testifying to the history of the exhibition movement in the BSSR – this is a photo album about the 2nd regional agricultural exhibition in the city of Molodechno (October 1951). The newsreel shown on the big screen includes scenes from the newsreel «Savetskaya Belarus» of the 1950-1970s. on holding regional and republican agricultural exhibitions.
Already on the first day, the archival exhibition attracted the attention of distinguished guests – Deputy Director of the Archive Elena Mironovna Grinevich and Head of the Archives Tatyana Petrovna Novikova presented the archive exposition to the delegations of the National Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Republic of Bashkortostan and a large number of guests from different countries, including the Russian Federation, China, Central Asian and Arab states.
