On May 18, 2023, within the framework of the Republican campaign «Archives for School», an event was organized for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 11 of Vitebsk» on the basis of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region

The lesson on the topic “History of the Pioneer Organization in the Vitebsk Region” was timed to coincide with the Pioneer Day. Those present got acquainted with the history of the children’s movement in the BSSR and the pioneer organization of the Vitebsk region, got an idea of the activities of the Vitebsk regional pioneer organization in 1924–1991. At the practical part of the event, schoolchildren got acquainted with documents on the activities of the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Pioneers, teen clubs and public associations in Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region: reports on the work done by the Red Pathfinders, Timurovites, memoirs of veterans of the pioneer movement, etc.

1. Leading archivist A.V. Bogdanova and archivist of the 1st category M.K. Olefirenko conduct a lesson with students of secondary school No. 11 in Vitebsk.

2. Students get acquainted with archival documents on the history of the pioneer organization of Vitebsk region.
