Rechitsa archivists held a class hour for children on the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus and the heraldry of the Gomel region

As part of the Year of Peace and Creation and the action «Archives for School», a class hour was held at the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 2 of Rechitsa» on the topic «Heraldry of the Republic of Belarus: Gomel Region». On the eve of the Day of the State Emblem, the State Flag and the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus (May 14) and in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Gomel region, employees of the Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa told the students of the 2nd and 4th grades about the origin and significance state symbols, coats of arms and flags of the Gomel region and its settlements. The meeting ended with an entertaining quiz «In the country «Symbolics» to test the knowledge of schoolchildren about Belarusian heraldry.
