Information about the events held by the Zonal State Archive in Mozyr on the eve of the 78th anniversary of the Victory
On the eve of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the following events were held at the Zonal State Archive in Mozyr:
On May 4, 2023, an exhibition of archival documents «They brought Victory closer» was organized in the foyer of the archive (according to the memoirs of participants in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945);
On May 5, as part of the republican action «Belarus Remembers. We Remember Everyone» employees of the State Archives visited the «Mound of Glory» memorial complex and laid flowers at the monument to the blockade and defenders of Leningrad and at the mass grave of the buried soldiers of the Soviet army and partisans of the Polessky partisan unit who died during the liberation of Mozyr in 1944;
On May 5, within the framework of the action «Archives for School» on the basis of the Mozyr Central Regional Library named after. A.S. Pushkin with students of 6 «A» class of the educational institution «Secondary school No. 7 of Mozyr» a thematic lesson was held on the topic: «Through the eyes of those who were in battle». The children were read the memoirs of the participants of the Great Patriotic War from the archive fund «Collection of documents of personal origin».
