Meeting of the working team of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation devoted to May 1

In Belarus, May 1 is a public holiday. The holiday was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko No. 157 dated March 26, 1998 and has a history of more than a century.

On the eve of the above-mentioned holiday, April 29, 2023, as part of the events held in the «Year of Peace and Creation», as well as the implementation of the tasks defined by the board of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on work with youth, in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation of a Young Specialist Department of Information and Document Use E.V.Shkut prepared a presentation dedicated to Labor Day on May 1 for the employees of the institution.

At the team meeting, the author told about the history of the holiday, showed its social and historical significance, emphasized that the once ideological holiday has lost its political character, and now it is celebrated as the holiday of spring and creation.

Before the beginning of the information hour, deputy director Yu.A.Naturyev addressed the archive staff and congratulated the team on the upcoming holiday.
