«Journey Through the Archives»

On April 14, 2023, within the framework of the Republican action «Archives for School» and the Year of Peace and Creation, three excursions «Journey through the Archives» were held for students of grades 1 «A», 1 «B», 2 «B» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 10 named after V.M.Azin, Polotsk».

As part of the meeting, the head of the department Dichkevich M.M. she told the children about the profession of an archivist, about where documents come from for storage and about the features of their storage, about the total number of documents in storage.

Archivist Semchenko M.O. held a master class for students on the restoration of archival documents.

Leading archivist Sholokhova L.P. demonstrated the process of digitizing archival documents.

Leaving the archive, the schoolchildren thanked the archivists for the informative tour and promised to return.
