March 15 – Constitution Day
The Constitution (from Latin constitutio – «arrangement, establishment, addition») is the basic law of the state, a special regulatory legal act that has the highest legal force.
The constitution defines the foundations of the political, legal and economic systems of the state. The constitution is the founding document of the state, which sets out the main goals of the creation of the state.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 26, 1998 No. 157 «On public holidays, holidays and memorable dates in the Republic of Belarus», March 15 is celebrated as the day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
