Working visit of the Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov to the Grodno region

On March 9-10, 2023, the director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov paid a working visit to the state archives of the Grodno region.

March 9, 2023 O.L. Voinov visited the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno, the State Archive of the Grodno Region and the State Archive of Public Associations of the Grodno Region.

On March 10, 2023, an acquaintance with the activities of zonal state archives in the cities of Novogrudok and Lida took place.

Within the framework of the working visit, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee V.S. Karanik, during which issues of development and problems of archival institutions of the Grodno region were discussed.

O.L. Voinov studied the progress of the reconstruction of the building for the State Archive of Public Associations of the Grodno Region, located on the street. Krasnoarmeyskaya, 11/14, the scope of work performed in 2022 and planned for 2023.

In archival institutions, O.L. Voinov got acquainted with the working conditions of archivists, with the material and technical base of institutions, visited reading rooms and production facilities.

As part of the visit to archival institutions, the Director of the Department, O.L. Voinov, held working meetings, heard reports from their heads on the activities of institutions.

Meetings with labor collectives became the result of visiting archival institutions.

Director of the Department O.L. Voinov noted the work of archivists in preserving the documentary heritage of the Belarusian people. The archivists were given specific tasks for the current period, which will be reflected in the protocol of instructions.
