Memory lesson in the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin

February 15, 2023 as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the Year of Peace and Creation Zonal State Archives in Kobrin visited students of 8 classes of secondary school No 2 of Kobrin.

The staff of the archive held a memory lesson «Afghanistan in the fate of our compatriots». Archival documents of the internationalist soldiers Andrey Vladimirovich Melinchuk and Nikolai Kirillovich Astafyev, which are stored in the archive as part of a collection of documents of personal origin, were shown to schoolchildren. The memories of veterans about their service in Afghanistan, their order books and certificates for medals aroused great interest among schoolchildren.

A tour of the archive was also held, which traditionally included a brief excursion into the history and information about the main activities of the archive, a visit to the archives and acquaintance with poster exhibitions.
