Extended meeting of the Directorate of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus

On December 22, 2022, an expanded meeting of the directorate of the archive was held at the state institution «National Archive of the Republic of Belarus». The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department for Archives and Document Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus V.I.Kurash.

In his report, the director of the archive A.K.Demyanuk summed up the results of work in all areas of the institution’s activities in the reporting year. Particular attention in the speech was paid to personnel policy: work with young professionals, mentoring, certification, training and advanced training of employees, organization of internships for students of BSU, MSPU, MSLU on the basis of the archive, etc. The results of work on the prevention of corruption, the appeal of citizens and legal persons, strengthening the material and technical base of the archive, conducting scientific and technical processing of documents of organizations that are sources of archive acquisition, fulfilling requests of various categories, etc.

The problematic issues of ensuring the safety of documents and completing the archive were shared by the head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds N.S.Nartovskaya and the head of the department of office work and the formation of the National Archival Fund T.A.Shevchenko.

Director of the Department V.I.Kurash gave a positive assessment to the work of the archive. Thus, in 2022, the National Archives held 30 exhibitions on stands and showcases and 8 virtual exhibitions, archive employees took part in 43 scientific and scientific-practical events, prepared 78 speeches, took part in the preparation of 26 television and radio programs, published 51 interviews in print and Internet media, 7 collections of documents and materials were published, etc. The completion of the project «Without a statute of limitations. Belarus».

The decision of the directorate of the archive reflected the problems and ways to solve them, tasks were set for the structural divisions for the next year.

The management of the archive expressed their gratitude to the staff for the fruitful and successful work.

The meeting of the directorate of the archive ended with a solemn rewarding of employees. For fruitful work and active participation in the public life of the team, Ageenko Tatyana Nikolaevna, a researcher at the Publications Department, was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. Certificates of honor of the Department for Archives and Document Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus were awarded to Deputy Director of the Archive Kushnova Elena Vladimirovna for initiative in work, a significant contribution to the implementation of state policy in the field of archiving and office work and Deputy Head of the Department for the Use of Documents and Information Begun Marina Pavlovna for conscientious work, a great contribution to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and the popularization of archival documents.

It should be noted that in 2022, in connection with the 95th anniversary of the National Archives, the 100th anniversary of the Archival Service of Belarus, on the Day of the Archivist, according to the results of the year, 63 archive workers were awarded, including the Certificates of Honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the National Assembly of the Republic Belarus, of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and a number of other ministries and departments, Badge of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus «Honorary Archivist of Belarus» and the badge of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus «For Merit» and other awards.
