On November 21, 2022, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region was visited by 8th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 7 of Vitebsk». During the sightseeing tour, the schoolchildren visited one of the archives, got acquainted with the conditions for storing documents, their composition and content. With their own eyes, they saw maps of the end of the 18th century, periodicals of the 1920s, filtration files of people who returned from forced labor in Germany for the second half of the 1940s. After that, the archive staff told the students about creating digital copies of documents on a specialized scanner.
