On October 25, 2022, employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the XXVIII Chagall Readings dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of the artist Marc Chagall. Chief custodian of funds K.R. Karpekin told the conference participants about the Jews of the city of Liozno in the first quarter of the 20th century; leading archivist S.M. Myasoedova made a presentation «Profession – artist, nationality – Jew»: on the experience of studying the biographies of artists of Jewish origin – members of the Vitebsk provincial branch of the All-Russian Trade Union of Artists.
