The State Archives of Vitebsk Region took part in the solemn raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus

On 12 July 2022, a solemn event was held in Vitebsk: the raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus on one of the highest points of the city, the flagpole on the building of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The emblem, flag and anthem of the state are the main symbols of independence, which convey the historical and cultural heritage of our people and emphasize the national spirit and dignity of Belarusian citizens.

The event was attended by the leaders of the region and the city of Vitebsk, representatives of the institutions and enterprises, public organizations, veterans, members of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, pioneers, and others.
The state flag was hoisted in a solemn atmosphere by servicemen of the 103rd Guards Airborne Division.

The honorary right to raise the State flag over the city was granted to the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
