An overview excursion “Dialogue with History” for the persons responsible for archives and records management in Orsha institutions

On 10 June 2022, the Local State Archives in Orsha organized an overview excursion “Dialogue with History” for the persons responsible for archives and records management in the institutions of the city of Orsha, Vitebsk region.

The director of the archives, O. M. Bergovina, acquainted the representatives of organizations with the interesting facts from the history of the Archival Service of the Republic of Belarus and the history of the archive’s building, the former Trinitarian monastery and an architectural monument of the 18th century.

The participants visited the archival repositories and acquainted with the methods of repair and restoration of archival documents.

The director of the archives answered questions on the procedure of work with archival documents in the reading room, a set of measures for scientific and technical processing of documents.
