A dialogue platform “The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War. Tragedy and Memory” at the College of Modern Technologies in Mechanical Engineering and Auto Service
On 2 June 2022, a dialogue platform “The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War. Tragedy and Memory” took place at the College of Modern Technologies in Mechanical Engineering and Auto Service.
The speakers at the event were Roman Nikonov – deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, Irina Yaglenko – assistant prosecutor of the Partizansky District of Minsk, Marina Klimovich – deputy director for organizational and methodological work of the State Archives of Minsk Region. Moderator: Valentina Dovgaleva, Chairperson of Partizansky District Organization of Minsk Regional Public Association “Belaya Rus”.
The experts shared the information on the investigation of the facts of genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War as part of the criminal case, as well as the materials kept in the State Archives of Minsk Region related to the genocide. In a lively dialogue they discussed the issue of measures to promote the preservation of historical memory on a wider scale.
