The State Archives of Grodno Region opened the exhibition “The People’s War” dedicated to the partisans and underground fighters of Grodno Region
The State Archives of Grodno Region has launched the exhibition “The People’s War” dedicated to the Partisans and Underground Fighters of the Grodno Region. The exposition is based on documentary material held in the archives. Visitors to the exhibition will see documents of the partisan brigades and detachments that operated in the territory of Vasilishki, Radun, Shchuchin, Skidel and Dyatlovo districts during the Great Patriotic War. Among them are reports of the Soviet Information Bureau, orders of the partisan brigades headquarters, reports of combat operations, data on the subversion work, reconnaissance reports, partisans’ oaths, data on the combat and membership numbers in the partisan detachments and brigades, lists of partisans, award cards, notebooks, photos, recollections, letters and autobiographies of participants in the partisan and underground anti-fascist movement.
The event was attended by Olga Rudaya, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee and Alina Zabolotnaya, Head of the Department for Archives, Registries and Other Legal Affairs.
A report was made about the exhibition by the Grodno TV and Radio Company and the TV and Radio broadcasting channel “Grodno Plus” for news programs.
