The State Archives of Grodno Region was visited by archivists of notary’s offices and employees of the notarial archive of Grodno notarial district

Within the framework of the Year of Historical Memory, the State Archives of Grodno Region was visited by archivists of notary’s offices and employees of the notarial archive of Grodno notarial district.

During the meeting the guests were told about about the history of creation, the structure of documents and the specific activities of the institution, were shown the published collections of documents and materials, Internet projects prepared with the participation of the archive staff.

The participants got acquainted with the oldest collections of the Grodno Region Notary’s Office, in particular, the documents of the notary’s offices in 1940-1945, as well as the documents of earlier origin.

The guests had a tour around the archives and were shown the most valuable and interesting documentary materials kept in the archive repository. In the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents they observed the process of restoration of paper documents – keepers of the historical memory of Grodno region.
