Historical and educational quiz “Little-known facts from the history of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” for students of the Gomel State Machine-Building College

On 5 March 2022, the State Archives of Public Organizations of Gomel Region held a meeting of the archivists with students of the Gomel State Machine-Building College. The group of students (No.TOS-21) was accompanied by the head Viktor Rameiko.

As part of the Archives for School campaign, in order to broaden the students’ views and raise their interest in the history of the Great Patriotic War, the archivists conducted a historical and educational quiz “Little-known facts from the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”

The archivists also showed video films “Liberation of Gomel” and a special reportage from the site of excavation of the mass grave of civilians in the Chyonki forest in the Gomel region.

In conclusion, the students were given a tour of the archive repository, during which they learned about the main areas of the archive’s work.
