Opening of the exhibition “A Chronicle in Stone” (architectural monuments in the documents of the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno)

On 29 March 2022, in the framework of the Year of Historical Memory, the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno hosted the opening ceremony of the exhibition “A Chronicle in Stone” (architectural monuments in the documents of the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno), dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Archival Service of Belarus.

The 1st year students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno became the first guests at the exhibition, which contains photocopies of archival documents and photographs of drawings by Napoleon Orda, fragments of sketches and designs of religious buildings, castles and palaces.

The students also acquainted with the history of the Archives, the composition of documents and storage facilities, the specifics of the laboratory for special processing of archival documents.
