Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Belarus Alex Goldman-Shayman visited the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On August 26, 2021, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Belarus Alex Goldman-Shayman.
During the meeting with the Director of the National Archives A. K. Demyanyuk they discussed the prospects and possible areas of cooperation and reached an agreement on the implementation of joint projects in the field of publishing and exhibition activities.
The guest got acquainted with the work of the main structural divisions of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, visited the archival depositories. Of particular interest were the documents on the participation of Jews in the partisan movement in Belarus during the Great Patriotic War, as well as documents from the personal collections of public and political figures of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic, reflecting the development of Belarusian-Israeli relations.
