- Comprehensive analysis of documentation created by government agencies and other
institutions
- Defining methods to ensure the reduction of paper handling and routing, including the
creation of the Unified Records System
- Developing the main principles for the publication of records and materials included in
the National Archival Holdings of the Republic of Belarus
- Conducting research on the history of Belarus, its statehood, and culture
- Analysis of archive economics
- Providing an organization for the Archival Publications Commission at the Department of
Archives and Records Management under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus
- Publishing, together with the Archival Publications Commission, the "Belarusian
Archaeography Annual" journal
- Providing for higher professional training in specializations "Documentation,
Records Management, and Archive Studies" and " Historiography, Source Studies,
and Historical Research Methods" through postgraduate course of study and scholarly
competition
