The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War hosts a retrospective of film documents from the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings – the chronicle documentary “Kondrat Krapiva”

On March 1, 2021, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, on the eve of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kondrat Krapiva, the People’s Writer of Belarus, poet, satirist, playwright, literary critic, and public figure, held a retrospective of film documents from the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings – the chronicle-documentary film “Kondrat Krapiva”, created by order of the Ministry of Education of the BSSR at the film studio “Belarusfilm” in 1983 (director M. Kupeeva). The film tells about the life of the writer and his creative work, in which the Great Patriotic War takes a special place: his work in the editorial office of the newspaper “Red Army Truth”, “For Soviet Belarus”, in 1943-1945 he was the executive editor of the satirical newspaper-poster “Crush the Nazi Viper”.

The event also included the temporary exhibition of the museum and an evening dedicated to the anniversary of Kondrat Krapiva, with the participation of the writer’s granddaughter, candidate of art history, head of the fashion design department at the Belarusian State University E. Atrakhovich, Honored Artist of Belarus N. Brankovich, Honored Artist of Belarus G. Chernobaeva, actor and director of the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus O. Vinyarski and the theatre studio “Vitamin” at School № 2 named after K. Krapiva in Uzda, Minsk Region.
