The Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies released a new Model File Plan of District and City Executive Committees

The Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies (BelNIIDAD) released a new Model File Plan of District and City Executive Committees.

The Model File Plan of District and City Executive Committees was approved by Order No. 46 of the Director of the Archives and Records Management Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on December 29, 2020. Taking into account the requirements of the current regulatory legal acts and the practice of district and city executive committees, this File Plan updates the composition of files formed in the activities of executive committees and their retention periods.

The Model File Plan is intended to provide practical assistance to employees of district and city executive committees in compiling an individual file plan. It establishes a list of file names, corresponding to the procedure for documenting the typical functions of district and city executive committees, determines the optimal order of files and fixes the terms of their storage on the basis of regulatory documents.

The introduction of model file plans in the practice of district and city executive committees allows to arrange their individual file plans, promotes a unified procedure for the formation of files, the correct establishment of the storage periods for documents, regulates the issues of appraisal and selection of documents of district and city executive committees for preservation by the State.
